The Chelsea Herbalist
(Chelsea clinic opening June 2026 — now taking founding client enquiries).
Nature-based diagnostics and restorative medicine for modern exhaustion.
Welcome
Chelsea is fast, refined and demanding. Many people living and working here are quietly depleted — and quietly wondering why nothing has quite resolved it.
The Chelsea Herbalist offers something different. Through iridology, herbal medicine and emotional terrain mapping, I work with the whole ecology of the body — not isolated symptoms, but the patterns beneath them. How digestion, the nervous system and elimination pathways interact. What the body has been carrying, and for how long.
Herbal medicine then works with the body's own intelligence — restoring balance, resilience and clarity from the ground up.
If you are ready to be understood differently, I would welcome the chance to work with you.

Who I work with
The Exhausted Achiever
Driven, capable, and running on empty.
Their nervous system is overextended, their digestion tight, their sleep fragile.
They come seeking clarity and calm; they leave with steadiness, breath, and restored vitality.
The Sensitive System
Easily overwhelmed, reactive to stress, noise, food, or emotion.
A gentle constitution carrying hidden emotional imprinting.
They come seeking safety; they leave feeling understood, regulated, and soothed.
The Perfected Professional
Polished on the outside, tense and compressed on the inside.
Liver heat, frustration, and emotional holding often lie beneath immaculate composure.
They come seeking discernment; they leave with flow, release, and renewed ease.
The Chronic Explorer
Years of symptoms, many practitioners, little true understanding.
A complex terrain shaped by emotional and physical history.
They come seeking answers; they leave with insight, direction, and a coherent healing story.

Roots & Reflections Chelsea Library · 20th May 2026
What does herbal medicine actually do — and what does the eye have to do with it? On 20th May, thirty-five people came to Chelsea Library to find out. The questions that followed kept the room well past the hour.
The talk had been prepared for fewer than ten.
Roots & Reflections was the first in a series of talks I am giving at Chelsea Library this year. It was an introduction to herbal medicine, iridology, and the thinking that connects them — an attempt to offer something more grounded than the usual wellness conversation.
Herbal medicine is not a collection of gentle remedies. It is a sophisticated clinical discipline that treats the person rather than the diagnosis, the terrain rather than the symptom. Iridology — the analysis of patterns within the iris of the eye — reveals the constitutional landscape that shapes everything: inherited strengths and vulnerabilities, nervous system tone, the history the body has been quietly accumulating.
Used together, they offer something most people have never experienced: a genuinely complete picture of how their body works, and a treatment that responds to that picture specifically. That is what the talk was about. And it is what every consultation at The Chelsea Herbalist begins from.
The questions ranged widely — and every one of them mattered.
Can herbal medicine help with sleep? Almost always — but not by sedating the nervous system. Sleep is rarely just a sleep problem. The question is always: why can the nervous system not settle? The answer is usually somewhere in the terrain, and that is where the treatment begins.
How do you ensure herbs and pharmaceuticals remain safe together? This is one of the most important questions in clinical herbal practice. Herb-drug interactions are real, they are manageable, and a well-trained herbalist will always take a full and careful medication history before prescribing anything. Safety is not an afterthought — it is the foundation.
Can you treat migraines? In many cases, yes — and often very effectively. Migraines are rarely just a head problem. They tend to have roots in the liver, the hormonal axis, the nervous system, or the digestive system — sometimes all four. Understanding the terrain changes the treatment entirely.
These are exactly the kinds of questions that herbal medicine is built to answer. Not with a single remedy, but with a properly reasoned clinical response built around the individual sitting in front of me.
The Chelsea Herbalist series at Chelsea Library continues later this year. Each talk will explore a specific aspect of herbal medicine or iridology in greater depth. To be the first to hear about upcoming dates, join the mailing list.
Perhaps you were in the room on 20th May and found yourself still thinking about something that was said. Perhaps you heard about it afterwards and wished you had been there. Either way, the conversation does not have to end here.
The Chelsea Herbalist is now seeing clients in Kensington, offering bespoke consultations in herbal medicine and iridology. If you have been carrying a health question that has never quite been answered — a pattern in your body you have never quite understood — I would genuinely love to hear from you.
Initial consultations last ninety minutes. They are entirely individual. Nothing comes off a shelf.
Thirty-five people stayed until the end. The series continues later this year. The Chelsea Herbalist is seeing clients now.
